Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: What services does Wood Farm Kitchens provide?
A: Wood Farm Kitchens provides the full range of services you will required for your kitchen installation
project. From the start we will provide friendly professional advice to help guide you through the design,
ordering and installation process for your new kitchen. We offer a free no obligation design and quotation
service, free helpful advice seven days a week, free site meetings with your building contractors to ensure
your kitchen installation runs smoothly or a complete refurbishment service which includes plumbing,
electrical work, plastering, tiling and decorating if required.

Q: Are your kitchens bespoke?
A: All our cabinets are made to order for each individual kitchen. Some of the doors we supply are stock
doors and some are made to order. So if you like, we are a halfway house between a fitted kitchen company
and a completely bespoke kitchen company. The main area of difference between our kitchens and a
completely bespoke kitchen is cost, ours will cost a lot less.

Q: What are you cabinets made of?
A: Our standard cabinets are made from 18mm MFC board in a choice of white, ivory or oak. There is also a
choice as an optional extra of colour coordinated cabinets, veneered cabinets, softwood cabinets or
hardwood cabinets. All our cabinets are constructed the same way, so if you have our standard MFC cabinet
or the most expensive hardwood cabinet they will be as strong and sturdy as each other. 99% of our
customers choose a standard MFC cabinet and put the savings they have made towards other costs
associated with their new kitchen.

Q: How long does it take to complete a kitchen installation?
A: It depends on what work is involved in the installation. If we are undertaking a complete refurbishment
of the room i.e. plumbing work, electrical work, plastering and tiling as well as the kitchen installation the
entire project can take a month or so. If we are only undertaking the kitchen installation then normally the
job would be finished in a fortnight.

Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We are based just outside Ipswich in Suffolk and generally operate in a twenty mile radius around our showroom in Otley. We will also cover the whole of Suffolk, South Norfolk and North Essex if asked to.

Q: What are the lead times for your kitchens?
A: Normally our installation dates are three or four months ahead of the date a customer places their order. We do sometimes have dates earlier than our normal lead times as occasionally our existing customers ask to have the installation dates put back a few months because of delays with their building project which then allows new customers to have their kitchens installed earlier.

Q: What guarantees do you offer?
A: All the component parts of your kitchen come with a five year guarantee from the date of installation.
Any appliances supplied by us will come with at least a two years parts and labour warranty from the
manufacture. Granite and Quartz worktops installed with our kitchens are supplied and fitted by a third party
and will be covered by their guarantee.

Q: Do you offer a ‘supply only’ service?
A: We only offer a ‘supply and fit’ service as all of our kitchens come with a five year guarantee which we
can only offer when installed by our highly trained fitters.

Q: Are your fitter’s sub-contactor’s?
A: All our fitters work directly for Wood Farm Kitchens and some have worked for us for over twenty
years.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: We actually started business in the mid 1980’s so we have now been trading for over thirty years.

Q: We are just starting out on the process of buying a new kitchen, is there any advice you can give?
A: Investing in a new kitchen should be an enjoyable and exciting process not one filled with stress. Take
your time, ask lots of questions and try to think outside the box when designing your new kitchen. You don’t
just want to replace your old kitchen with a new version of what was there, you want a completely new
experience, a new design that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. You have worked long and hard to
pay for this new kitchen so don’t put up with a compromise, you should expect a ‘Quality Kitchen at an
Affordable Price’. Remember we are only a phone call away if you want friendly helpful advice.
